The beads in this vintage glass jewelry set are simply gorgeous! Each dark red oval shaped bead has a thin tube of clear glass with some type of sparkling inclusion wound around its length. The necklace and the bracelet are strung on red thread and there is hand knotting between each bead. The screw-on earrings are marked made in Italy. The necklace is 16 3/4" long and has a screw closure. The bracelet is just over 8" long and closes with a large spring ring. The earring beads are on a fine chain and dangle about 1 5/8". Each bead is 1" long and about 5/8" in diameter at the midpoint. All of the beads are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or visible scratches.

All Bakelite is tested using a variety of methods. These include Simichrome polish, hot water (smell test), tapping bangles together for the appropriate sound, and checking for mold lines and other discrepancies.
