Set of three chunky Bakelite tube bangles

This set of Bakelite bracelets includes one medium green bangle with X shaped carving and two solid golden yellow pieces. The very top of the dome on the two yellow bangles has been carved flat leaving a soft yellow "stripe" around the edge. All three bracelets have been carved along the inside edge, creating a better fit. The yellow bangles are each 1/4" wide and the green one is 3/8" wide. All three are 3/8" thick and have the standard 2 1/2" diameter interior wrist opening. One of the yellow bangles has a small dark scratch that can be seen in photo #5. Otherwise, the bracelets are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or visible scratches and have a nice glossy patina.

HINT: If you're having trouble getting your bangles on, try putting a nylon knee-high over your hand. This removes the friction and allows your hand to slip through freely!

All Bakelite is tested using a variety of methods. These include Simichrome polish, hot water (smell test), tapping bangles together for the appropriate sound, and checking for mold lines and other discrepancies.
