* This glossy red Bakelite dress clip is carved to look like the top of a lipstick coming out of its chrome container. This classic clip can be found in many Bakelite reference books. Although this is called a dress or coat clip, it can also decorate a hat band, be used as a scarf clip or dress up a purse or evening bag.

* This Bakelite dress clip is 2 3/8" long and is 1" wide at the chrome lip. The Bakelite is 3/8" thick except for 3/4" at one end, where it is carved to look like the top of a lipstick.

* This fun Art Deco clip is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or visible scratches to the Bakelite. The chrome is intact and shiny with minimal wear. The clip mechanism is in good working condition and closes tightly.

All Bakelite is tested using a variety of methods. These include Simichrome polish, hot water (smell test), tapping bangles together for the appropriate sound, and checking for mold lines and other discrepancies.
