* This gorgeous bangle has the color changing properties unique to prystal Bakelite, in this case flashes of purple at the edges. Each facet is concave, as opposed to the normal flat carved facet, giving this piece extra dimension. The extra chunkiness serves to make this Bakelite bracelet even more of a statement piece.

* This Bakelite bracelet measures 1" wide and 3/8" thick. The interior opening is 2 5/8", which is 1/8" larger than the standard size opening.

* This bangle is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, interior crazing or visible scratches and a beautiful glossy patina.

HINT: If you're having trouble getting your bangles on, try putting a nylon knee-high over your hand. This removes the friction and allows your hand to slip through freely!

All Bakelite is tested using a variety of methods. These include Simichrome polish, hot water (smell test), tapping bangles together for the appropriate sound, and checking for mold lines and other discrepancies.
