* I purchased this awesome vintage Lucite necklace from a longtime collector, and it is quite a statement piece. This necklace features large, chunky dimensional pieces in clear Lucite that are shaped like the 50's idea of a rocket ship. The rest of the bead necklace consists of flat, round, clear frosted Lucite beads with deeply carved ridges and smaller round chrome beads.

* The overall length of this necklace is 21". The clear "rocket ship" pieces are 2" long, 1 5/8" wide at the bottom and 1/2" thick in the middle. The molded beads measure 7/8" in diameter and are 1/2" thick, while the chrome beads are just under 1/2" in diameter. This necklace sits on the collar bone when worn.

* This amazing Lucite necklace is in excellent vintage condition. I can't see any chips, cracks or scratches in either the clear or the frosted Lucite pieces, other than some very minor surface wear. The chrome beads are shiny and the chrome coating is intact on all the beads. This necklace has been well cared for!

All Bakelite is tested using a variety of methods. These include Simichrome polish, hot water (smell test), tapping bangles together for the appropriate sound, and checking for mold lines and other discrepancies.
